7 SONGS, 7 DISHES

Food is central to Southeast Asian culture—it's a lifestyle, an attitude, and yes, even our lyrics! This fall, get ready for a feast of concerts, workshops, and interactive events, all leading up to our mainstage performance on November 22nd at the historic NoHo First United Methodist Church. We will be featuring seven traditional Southeast Asian songs inspired by food.

It takes a kampung (village)!

Being in Yu Hang and Emily’s workshop, I felt as if I was teleported to different countries along with vibrant music and delicious food. I understood the meaning of the music and the root of the culture even though I am not a native from those countries. It was truly a delightful experience to be learning one’s culture through performing the music.”
